The Border Cops. No, not those guys down in Texas or Arizona watching over the Rio Grande. The Border Cops of New York City featuring WorkshopLive's Matt Scharfglass on bass, have released another album this year. I guess one CD a year wasn't enough. Waterguns and Handcuffs hit the shelves on October 1st and can be found on iTunes as well. Sarcastic and sly, the Border Cops don't wear make-up or fancy outfits; a pair of jeans and a T-shirt is good enough. They want the music to be the draw. (Matt refuses to wear spandex). Matt is credited with writing a significant portion of the album as well as playing bass and laying in some keyboard and guitar tracks.
The album has a driving groove with a hint of vintage Van Halen, Stone Temple Pilots or the Foo Fighters. If played while moving down the highway, there could be a speeding ticket in your future. Check it out for yourself here.
