The National Guitar Workshop will be expanding its Technology curriculum this summer at the Connecticut campus, offering some exciting new courses for students. Among these courses will be a class focusing on the home studio and the elements of home recording. This comprehensive course will show students how to take their home desktop studio and turn it into a powerful musical tool for practicing, composing, songwriting and jamming. Throughout the week, students will be exposed to a variety of popular home project studio software packages, enabling them to understand which recording format will work best in their own home studio. Students will learn how to use this technology for recording, mixing, sequencing and producing their own music. From setup to mix-down, this course will give students the foundation needed to successfully use their home studios for all of their musical interests.
