National Guitar Workshop is pleased to announce the expansion of our Rock Summit offerings. Each NGW Rock Summit will hold a Shred-Off competition sponsored by Parker Guitars and Digitech. For the past few years, the NGW Shred-Off competition has been held at the Los Angeles campus. Hosted by faculty member Dave Martone, this event has been widely popular amongst rock summit students. With the support of our sponsors, the Shred-Off competition will now be held at the Los Angeles, New Milford, Seattle and McLean campuses.
Open to all Rock Summit students, the competition will be judged on technique, originality, tone and stage performance. The winner of the competition will receive a Parker guitar, and the two runners-up will receive Digitech pedals. The Rock Summit is open to intermediate and advanced guitarists. In addition to classroom time, all rock summit students attend master classes held by the faculty, participate in faculty-coached rock bands and attend the Guest Artist Workshop.
