The National Guitar Workshop will be giving away two Guitar Hero units at its remaining open houses this season. Students and prospective students who attend these events will have the opportunity to participate in a raffle, with other prizes including discounts on NGW tuition. These open houses will take place in Austin, Chicago, New York, and Boston.
The NGW Open House in Austin will also take place on March 15th during South by Southwest (SXSW), the Austin-based music, film, and interactive conference and festival. SXSW is one of the country’s largest music festivals, with more than 1,000 performers playing around Austin over the four days. Prospective students who are in town for the festival are encouraged to check out the jam sessions and clinics offered at the open house, both worth an afternoon visit.
NGW will be teaming up with DayJams for its open houses in Chicago (March 16th), New York (April 5th), and Boston (April 13th), giving students a chance to experience what both programs have to offer. The New York open house will offer a unique opportunity to students, since it will take place in a historic recording studio. Taking place at the Gibson/Baldwin Showroom, attendees will be able to jam in recording spaces that have been used in the past by many great artists, including Stevie Wonder, John Lennon, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, and Eric Clapton.
Be sure to check out these exciting events when they come to a city near you! They’re a great way to learn about the NGW program, and get a taste of the experience.
