Dick Seacup

I have the same issue vis a vis books and lessons and practicing. When I was taking live, local lessons, I played several hours per day. I quit that due to scheduling issues (two places, one time and all that) and just sort of noodle around.

The other problem I have is that I flip-flop between jazz and blues. I'll be on a huge jazz kick for several weeks, wanting to learn all the cool jazz chords. Then, after not making much progress I decide blues is really what I'm in to. And on and on, back and forth.

If you figure out how to get yourself to bear down on the practicing, let me know. :) For now, I'm hoping that my 'buyers guilt' for picking up a year's subscription to WorkshopLive ( will get me back on track.
