We know that you're a knowledgeable bunch and that you like to share your expertise with others, so please help this poor guy before he commits a guitar massacre! This is a recent post from the WL Forum:

Hi Peter.
It could the following:
The guitars action is set to low.
(Distance between the strings and the fretboard at the last fret).
You don't say the model of electric guitar you have but most have individual adjustment for each string at the bridge.
If you don't know how to do this then leave well alone and find someone that does.
