Fender
has come up with the ideal guitar for married men: it’s cheap, it’s simple, and,
since it comes with its own car, it’s very practical.
It’s
the Custom Shop Shelby GT Strat – black with a silver racing stripe, one
pickup, one knob. The car is a Shelby GT, a high-performance member of the
Mustang family – black with a silver racing stripe, chrome wheels, 325 horsepower
V8, lots of pickup, lots of knobs.
And
it’s free! Or, at least, one guitar-plus-car is free. You have to enter a sweepstakes, of course, but if
you win that counts as free, doesn’t it? And it’s even a better deal that it
appears, since there were only two made, and the other Strat/’Stang combination
sold at a charity auction for $600,000. What reasonable person could give you a hard time about bringing home another guitar when it's free, it comes with a Mustang, and it's worth more than your house?
[TJH]
ok! it goes along with the Grand Torino look they had last year. Red guitar with a white stripe ala Starsky and Hutch.
Now we'll need an A-Team scheme, how about a Scooby Doo and the mystery machine? Do I hear Knight rider? :)

How about a 1964 Aston Martin, a Vox Phantom and a Super Beatle amp?
